POP studies are undertaken to test the performance of a new technology or individual elements of this technology in isolation. Proof of principles allows iterations and refinements during the development process to give greater confidence in the design at the earliest stage.
Proof of principle engineering allows feasibility of new ideas to be tried out before further financial commitment is made in the development of new technologies.
POP fixtures are created at the earliest stages and with detailed testing and design analysis form a critical part of the core technology development process.
